Our friend Nancy had this up on her blog. I have been looking for a site that does this for awhile and can now, thanks to modern technology answer the question:

Mark didn't really want to take this picture (thus the somewhat goofy face, he was in the middle of a Wii sports baseball game) so I am not sure how accurate it is but I would tend to agree with the results that Jared does look a little bit more like me. You should try it out too. Its easy and fun.

Jared was playing so nicely on the floor as I was posting this and I turned around and this is what I found. Such a goof. LOVE it!

Happy and Healthy

On Friday I took Jared to the doctor for his 6 month checkup and he is doing amazing. He is one happy, healthy kid.

At 6 months Jared:

is 17.2 pounds and 26.5 inches.
loves bananas
is fascinated with my hair
(I really need to learn to be okay with how it looks in a pony tail.)
Goes to bed at 6:45 and wakes up at 6:30
Loves to read (eat) books and play with his wiffle balls (thanks again Becca)
Has been teething for quite some time
Puts all kinds of things in his mouth
Thinks his blanket is the funnest toy
Loves taking his bath
Is a champion at sitting up but is not at all interested
in moving himself anywhere as far as I can see but does great reaching for things

First time in a swimming pool, at the indoor splash park.He wasn't
too interested but also didn't seem to mind it.



We love this sweet little boy!

Easter Festivites

We had a nice little Easter here. We dyed some eggs, watched conference, enjoyed watching Jared check out his Easter basket and went over to some friends house for a delicious Easter dinner. Our friend Rachel made the most amazing rolls! She made my rolls seem like junk! I can't wait to get her recipe.

Getting Ready

Mark found Daffodils at the store and got some for me. (They are my favorite flowers) I have only seen them at one house so far. Things are a little slow to bloom here apparently.

Spring has Sprung?

Last week we went over to an Easter Egg hunt our ward put on. It was a beautiful Spring day and the first time we really "took" Jared to a park. He didn't seem to interested in what was going on but it was fun to watch the kids hunt for eggs. We brought a little green egg for him to play with. We checked out the slide and then the swings. It was nice because Mark was still on Spring Break so he got to come with us.

The grass is starting to turn green and things are coming alive, its nice. I wouldn't be too surprised if we got at least one more snow storm though. Until then we will enjoy the spring weather with long walks.
