Saratoga Springs, UT with Grandma Sue

Our last stop was at Grandma Sue's in Saratoga Springs.  We stayed two nights and had a lovely relaxing visit.  Mark has a few nieces and nephews who live in Utah and we had dinner with some of them each night we were there.  It was great to catch up with them.  After dinner the first night Mark's brother Steve offered to pick up whoever wanted to go out on his boat with him at the Marina.  I do not enjoy boats much so Mark went out with Jared and Lydia.  They had a blast.  I was really glad Mark could visit with Steve for a bit.  After boating for awhile Steve dropped them off again and Mark let Jared and Lydia play in the hot springs creek which they loved.  It was a perfect ending to the day.

The next morning we all went down to the Hot Springs Swimming pool in Sue's community which is Jared and Lydia's favorite thing to do when they visit Grandma Sue.  There was plenty of space to spread out and they loved it. We were there by 9:00 am so we beat the crowds.

That afternoon Sue took Jared and Lydia to lunch (take out) and then to the Lehi Cemetery.  She has a lot of family members buried there.  I believe her family (the Evans) helped set up Lehi then known as Evansville.  She came up with a scavenger hunt for Jared and Lydia and for every name/date  they found they got a quarter.  They made over 6 dollars.  It is fun that they had two family history moments on this trip.  Mark is so good about making those happen.  I just make them read this blog with me on Sundays!

It was sad to see them so upset about coming home.  They are doing fine now but would be happy to go on another trip.  We are glad to be back and so far are all feeling well.
